Radiofrequency (RF) is a treatment that uses electromagnetic waves to thermally stimulate the dermis, triggering collagen remodeling and improving skin firmness. In this lesson, you’ll learn how RF works, the types of handpieces and treatment parameters, and how to safely perform lifting procedures using diathermy in aesthetic cosmetology.

• Identify the materials and tools needed for treatment – including electrodes, conductive gels, and support products.
• Learn how to properly prep the client’s skin for RF – including cleansing and applying the contact medium.
• Practice the full RF treatment – step by step, focusing on technique, parameter selection, and safety.
